Systems
In our office we have experience with the use of over 10 implant systems.
The most frequent or used implants are:
Implant works require the following steps:
• initial consultation where you should come with a panoramic X-Ray
• Three-dimensional volumetric tomography for the area where the implants will be inserted, CD tomography should be brought to the dental office. After the doctor’s analysis you will be contacted for an appointment.
• The insertions of the Implants is carried out under local anesthesia (identical to that required for any dental works), and it is not particularly stressful or painful. Normal duration for the insertion of an implant is between 30 and 45 minutes.
• Ten days after surgery the suture threads are removed.
• 6 months after insertion the implants are uncovered and the abutments are placed.
• 2-3 weeks after the previous stage an impression will be made to manufacture a custom impression tray
• after 2-3 days the final impression will be made and sent to the dental technician.
• After 1 week, the metallic structure of the tooth is checked
• After another 3-4 days the dentin sample is checked.
• The finished metal-ceramic crown will be cemented.
Hygiene
For patients with dental implants it is advisable to use water flossers together with brushing for proper oral hygiene.
Annual check-ups with professional cleaning and control radiographs allow a permanent situation tracking of the implant and prosthetic work. If the patient has proper hygiene and respects the annual inspections, the prognosis for implant treatment is highly favorable.
