DENTAL TOURISM
Many patients choose to combine the dental treatment with a holiday, especially coming from countries where dentistry is practiced at much higher prices than in Romania. We have patients from Italy, England, Germany, France, USA as well as the Nordic countries. They benefit from our premium priced services at the same prices as they would benefit at home for only social treatments. At the same time they have the opportunity to relax by visiting the Apuseni Mountains or spend time at the thermal baths in Felix.
For a treatment plan with prices please make a panoramic x-ray and send it to us using at office@dental-art.ro
On this basis we can make a preliminary diagnosis and a treatment plan. This plan is approximate because we might have a different situation after removing old fillings or old works, but we can estimate the costs of the future treatments.
We can also help you organize your trip: flights, accommodation, local transport and even tips on what you could visit.
The city Oradea:
Oradea is one the few undiscovered gems of Romania's tourism.
The city combines a good location and climate with romantic baroque architecture from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, with a lovely jumble of Romanian and Hungarian cultures. The city was passed back many times between Hungary and Romania, with both these cultures, are apparent in the city giving it a special charm and pleasant mix of architecture.
Oradea, situated 8 km from the Hungarian border (and a whopping 650 km by train from the capital of Romania, Bucharest), can even serve as a starting point for a Romanian journey, as it is served by trains coming in from Budapest and other parts of Europe. Many tourists also make a stopover in Oradea before travelling further on to Cluj-Napoca, Brasov or Bucharest. Recently, tourism is booming and people are even considering attributing the name Le Petit Paris (The Little Paris) to it.
The Historical Center. A city tour will give the opportunity to admire the marvellous buildings with their specific architecture: baroque complex composed of the Episcopal Palace, Roman Catholic Basilica - with numerous frescoes by J.N. Schöph and Francesco Storno - Canonical Row, ensemble built in the latter part of the eighteenth century, the former Palace of Finance (1890, eclectic style), Capuchin Monastery (1837 built in neoclassical style), Theatre Queen Mary (1899-1900).
It is worth admiring the stained glass windows of “Black Eagle" passage which is a symbol of the Oradea city and was by the Neuman workshops in 1909. The mechanism indicating the Moon phases, made in 1793 by Georg Rueppe, at the Full Moon Church that is still functional today was made in 1790 by the architect Iacob Edner is a also a must-see sight.
The Fortified Citadel, located in the downtown area, is an important attraction, being the largest and best preserved pentagonal fortress in Central Europe, rebuilt in Italian style in the sixteenth century.
Baile Felix and Baile 1 Mai thermal resorts
Băile Felix and 1 Mai are two thermal spa resorts located in a hilly area with beach and oak tree woods, 8 km south of the municipality of Oradea (seat of Bihor County) and 22 km south-east of Borş (border checkpoint to Hungary).

The resorts host many mineral springs with thermal (20-48°C), sulphuric, calcic, sodic, rich in bicarbonate waters known since the beginning of the millennium. The facilities of the two resorts offer treatment of rheumatism and neurological and gynecological diseases. The modern medical base has at its disposal various facilities for procedures involving electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, aerosols, massage, paraffin packing and other water treatments.
Apuseni Natural Reservation
The Natural Park is located in western Romania in the central-northern side of the Apuseni Mountains, comprising a part of the Bihor Mountains at south and Vlădeasa Mountains at north.
The Apuseni Natural Park with an area of 75.784ha was declared natural protected area by the Law Number 5 of March 6, 2000 (published in the Monitorul Oficial of Romania, Number 152 of April 12, 2000)[5] and represents a mountainous area (mountain peaks, cirques, caves, valleys, karst areas, forestsand pastures), with flora and fauna specific Western Carpathians.
Bear Cave
Bears' Cave is located in Bihor County, Romania and is considered one of the most thrilling places in the area. It was discovered in 1975 and is known for its incredible stalagmite and stalactite formations, as well as for its 140 Cave Bear fossils (Ursus spelaeus) which can be found here. The Bears' Cave has over 1,5 kilometers in length, 521 meters of which are reserved for scientific research.
It is said that its name comes from a species of cave bears that used to populate these lands 15000 ago. While 140 bears were inside the cave, something caused a rock to block the cave entrance and so the bears were trapped inside. Bear fossils were discovered and are still there today, causing cold shivers on the visitors' backs.
